2nd REFLECTION

Hello Everyone.. I'm Back In Action Again After Completing My First Chapter Discussion In Classroom. So now its time to share all my views about the first chapter that we had discussed in classroom.

" MATHEMATICS IS A TRUE LOVE  - A SIMPLE IDEA BUT CAN GET COMPLICATED "




As a future Mathematics teacher , I should choose a best theory of teaching to my beloved students so that they will start to love mathematics...



After discussing the three learning theories, I prefer to choose COGNITIVE LEARNING THEORY in order to make my subject looks more creative and attractive too. As we all know, most of students hate mathematics because of its formulas , ways of calculation, problem solving questions and so on. 
Therefore , I think that using COGNITIVE LEARNING THEORY in classroom can attract students attention towards Mathematics.

Well what is meant by COGNITIVE LEARNING THEORY ..??

When we said the word "Learning" , we usually means " to think using brains ". 
This basic concept of learning is the main viewpoint in the Cognitive Learning Style.
This theory implies that with effective cognitive processes , learning is easier and new information can be stored in the memory for a long time.

COGNITIVE strategies are useful tools in assisting students with learning problems, The term "cognitive strategies" in its simplest form is the use of the mind to solve a problem or even to complete a task. I choose this theory of learning for my subject is mainly because this theory provides a structure of learning when a task cannot be completed through a series of steps. This theory enable students to support the learner as he or she develops internal procedures which makes them to complete their tasks easily.






NOW LET ME SHARE WITH YOU ALL, WHAT WILL BE THE WAYS THAT I PREFER TO USE AS A TEACHING TOOL TO MY LOVELY STUDENTS BASED ON COGNITIVE LEARNING THEORY...!!!

First and foremost , I will use INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD..

How I'm going to use this method in my classroom...???
  • INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD is a way where to access and keep information in memory.

BUT how exactly does this happen...???

  1. For example , there will be slow learners in each and every classroom. When the slow learners start to read the questions provided in Mathematics , they started to receive sensory information from the question as well. 
  2. At the same time , when they taking in information and details of the questions, they started to understand the ways of solving that mathematical problems. 
  3. Once they understood the ways , it will be stored in their short term memory..


So that , as a future mathematics teacher , I will keep on giving my students same questions on that particular topic therefore they will feel familiar to complete that problem as the ways will be stored in long term memory..






Last but not least , INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD will be the best way in COGNITIVE LEARNING THEORY to teach my beloved students in order to gain their interest towards Mathematics world..





" IF A CHILD DOESN'T LEARN THE WAY YOU TEACH , THEN TEACH HIM THE WAY HE LEARNS "
